Based on these findings, we would recommend early use of bevacizumab. Limitations exist in this study. First, our meta-analysis cohort is heterogeneous regarding chemotherapies of the controls, and this may lead to unreliable findings. To address this issue, weperformed an imputation study with leave-one-out strategy. The imputation analysis showed that the results had only slight difference when any single trial was removed from the metaanalysis, which indicates robustness of our study. Secondly, our analysis included a number of steps to minimize the potential for publication bias, including the Begg’s test and Egger’s test.
